Running Maverick Wine Company’s social media not only strengthened my planning and organizational skills, it allowed my creative side more freedom to let my graphic design and photography skills shine while curating all components at the same time.
With a company name change right before I was brought on to Maverick (formerly Pioneer), the distributor was unknown to the public without consistent branding tied to the new name. Everything going digital in 2020 & 2021 changed this, as I created exponentially more Maverick-branded digital content in a time when people were on their phones more than ever, thus strengthening the association to the brand’s identity.
The two projects below show a mix of social media content (square, story, & banner formats) created to advertise a brand launch and a new cyber series. I designed the templates in Illustrator following the new brand identity guidelines I helped create for the company.
I also used variations of these templates—tweaking color, copy, images, & layout—on Maverick’s social media for announcing upcoming virtual events and virtual “live” guests, and weekly AMAs with the company’s master sommelier.
